Can I get it FREE?? The answer is YES if you are currently in our Gold or Platinum service ($275 value).

Gold or Platinum users: Simply sign in at the HG website. From your home page, you can download and install version 4. While signed in, on the left navigation bar is a link that says MY LICENSE and SERVICES. On that page you will find your version 4 license(s). If you are running IE, select "Copy to Clipboard" and then open the HG4 software. In the drop down menu go to "Options / Inspector and License", paste in the license key, and then click on activate. Make sure your name and company name are entered exactly as you want them to appear. If you don't see a version 4 key on the License and Services page and think you are eligible for one, please send an email to sales@HomeGauge.com.

Non Gold or Platinum HG users: The cost to upgrade is just $275. This upgrade fee will include all future upgrades of version 4 (4.x). NOTE: Before you upgrade, I recommend you check out the benefits of Gold or Platinum. For just $25 more you can get Gold for the year, which includes the upgrade. $300 worth of services for $25. You can’t beat it. Now (during a release) is the cheapest time you can ever try our Gold service. Just $25 more and you are Gold for one year! Answers to FAQs for Version 4

1. Switch over when you are ready! HG4 installs on your desktop and it does not force you to switch. Keep using version 3 until you can’t stand it anymore! You’ll be using version 4 in no time because it's virtually identical to 3, except for new features that you don’t have to learn until you are ready. Use it like version 3 and crank out a report with it today!
   
   
2. You will not lose any information, such as templates or reports. HG4 automatically brings in your templates, reports. logo, etc. If you are using a custom print style, we recommend looking at our new improved style sheets first. You may want to switch.

4. HG4 works great on XP or Vista. If you have heard about Vista nightmares with other software you can rest easy with HG software. HG worked on Vista before Vista came out! We can thank Sean and David (our top engineers) for writing the code right the first time!
   
   
5. HG4 users can check for updates anytime under the Help menu line in HG4 software (check for updates). If you have version 4 already, try the update feature now!
   
   
6. GOT POCKET? If you are using Pocket HG (works on Windows Mobile 5 or 6) the version 4 download includes both the main version and Pocket HG. After you download and install version 4, simply click on the "Windows Start Menu / All Programs / HomeGauge 4" and you’ll see the install for Pocket HG. Just place the PPC in the cradle, turned on, plugged into your main computer, and run the Pocket HG 4 install. ("Windows Start Menu / All Programs / HomeGauge 4")
   
   
7. Lease owners of HomeGauge 3 can trial version 4, but must call us for a new license when they are ready to switch over.
   
   
8. Dispel the MYTH...I need a CD for version 4. Answer, no you don’t. The old way of getting a cd every time an upgrade comes out is not needed anymore. The number one reason is that HG upgrades many times throughout the year and your CD will quickly become outdated. If you have more than one computer, download the trial version on the second one, enter in your license number and activate it. If your second computer is not connected to the internet, then connect it. Just unplug your internet connection from the back of one computer and put it in the second computer (high speed cable, DSL, etc.). 9. Custom Pages Update: If HG has worked on a logo or cover page for you, you will need to click on "Internet Tools / Update Custom Pages" in the software to install those customizations again. But first we recommend you do a print preview of the pages that come with HG4 to take a look at what a report looks like, then try out your custom pages to make sure everything looks as good.
