Air Chek Radon Lab has partnered with HomeGauge to provide faster
service to your agents and customers!
When you buy radon kits directly from HomeGauge, you can save time and create a level of service for your agents and customers that makes you look good and eliminates the hassle of getting the results to all parties.
- Your results will automatically be posted to your uploaded reports list.
- The agent, customer, and the inspector are notified immediately by email when the report is ready.
- The agent or customer clicks on the link, which takes them to your website or to HomeGauge to sign in and view/print the report.
- No more calls or hassles trying to get the report to the agent or customer.
- HG software automatically duplicates the customer and address info from the report, which eliminates filling out the kit. Submit the radon test numbers in the HG software and hang the kits. Come back in 2-4 days to pick them up, circle the end time/date, and use the included FedEx label to mail the kits. The lab will automatically notify all parties when the report is ready.
Try a Starter Kit today to see how easily you can add additional income to your existing inspection business.
Sign in at the HG website and click on the Environmental Testing link.
A single ProPack (two kits) costs $20 plus the cost of a 2 day FedEx return label from your zip code to Air Chek. You must purchase the packs in groups of 5. Ground FedEx shipping to you is free. There are discounts for volume purchases. (See the order page for more info.) Most home inspectors charge $100+ for this service, adding significant income to your business.
Pocket HG (choosing the right hardware)
Since HomeGauge released the Pocket HG software, several hundred inspectors now enjoy the ease of mobility and increased efficiency. If you are thinking of using the Pocket HG, you will need to purchase a Pocket PC running the Windows Mobile 5 "Pocket PC Edition" operating system. This is the only requirement to make the Pocket HG software work. So which Pocket PC should you buy?
Dell Axim was our previous preferred choice, but Dell has discontinued them and now recommends the Pharos Traveler 525e for $339.00.
HP has a nice, full-featured model. HP iPAQ hx2495 Pocket PC.
Another product that is very sexy for the inspector comes with a $1000 price tag, but includes a phone which appears to work with most service providers (except Verizon or Sprint). It has a 3 megapixel camera with movie capability, built in GPS and video in/out with a super long battery life. HTC Advantage 7501. If you own one of these already, let me know what you think.

 HomeGauge Tip of the Month
Anytime you need an agent's or customer's username and password, you can click on their username on the HG website (assigned to the report that has been uploaded) and see all their info. As long as the user hasn’t ever signed in or changed his or her password, you will be able to see it and edit their information. Why is this handy? If the agent or customer is having problems getting in to see the report, or says they didn’t get your email, just click on the username at your uploaded report and give it to him or her over the phone. Or, if they have signed in and forgot, you can re-send them their username and password simply by clicking on the "Send Password Email" link.
Until next time,
