Inspection report
Inspectors who use HomeGauge software can create their own report and it can be as short or as long as they decide. It can be narrative or checklist and it can be a checklist narrative combination. Some samples below can give you an idea of how different the same report can appear. If you prefer one format over the other, your inspector can easily switch to your preference. Many agents prefer the inspector to upload a full report and also a Summary with pictures report. Agents can then take a quick glance at the Summary items without having to view the report at that moment.
Remember:
- The ratings in a report such as Repair or Replace, Good, Poor, Unsatisfactory, and Safety Issues, etc. are set by the inspector’s preference. If any are confusing, please inform your inspector as he can change them if needed.
- The amount of pictures is at the discretion of the inspector. If you want to see more pictures or fewer pictures please let your inspector know. Pictures can have arrows, etc. pointing to the problem easily.
- The length of a report varies depending upon the amount of issues and also the amount of comments and pictures from the inspector.
- A summary report is generally one summary and can include pictures. The inspector can choose one general summary or create multiple summaries categorized by systems or conditions.
- The inspector can send you the report by email with an easy link and store your report and all future reports for you that you can access anytime with one username and password. You can also forward the report by link instead of sending a big bulkyand slow pdf attachment.
