This was the BEST inspection I have EVER had! Bill was on time, courteous and professional with an outgoing personality that made me very comfortable asking questions. I invested in an inspection that saved me from buying a "Money Pit"!! Bill saved me from what would have been $20,000+ in repairs!! After the inspection, I compared my detailed report from Bill, with the Seller's Disclosure. ALL of the issues Bill found were listed by the Seller as "good" on the Seller's Disclosure Statement!! My advice is: Buyers Do Your Homework! Invest in a GOOD home inspector. Here are a few examples of what Bill found: The furnace was not operational, the hot water heater was full of sediment and vented in a dangerous fashion. The electric wiring throughout much of the house was "DYI" resulting in most of the outlets being wired incorrectly. Bill found a very old & un-safe septic system buried in the yard. He even found an old fuel-oil tank buried on the property! Bill took the time to find plumbing leaks, more water leaks in crawl spaces. He showed me where there was an addition on the house that didn't have vapor barrier and was not insulated properly in a crawl space! Roof issues: flat spots collecting water, a hole in the roof where an animal entered the attic, microbial growth hidden in the attic. (That tested positive as mold!) My detailed report goes on, but these are just examples for people trying to find a good home inspector.

First of all, the inspector's name is, Bill Baughman, not "Null" :) Being a first-time home-buyer, I was eager to shadow Bill and learn about the elements - perhaps often overlooked - that make a house. One might think that this would lead to "interference" but Bill was more than willing to take the time to explain the what, where, why, and how of the items within the inspection. Time well-spent!
