Let me just say prior to hiring Alan I did a lot of research on various inspectors, read their reviews, talked to my neighbors and friends and consulted well respected online tools (such as Angies list) to help me verify their accuracy, and attention to detail as I am a first time homebuyer and was filled with angst on this purchase. I finally settled (and I shouldn't even use this word because settling implies I could have gotten better!) on Alan after reading his reviews and let me tell you he did not disappoint. Alan not only did an excellent job in positively doing some deep forensic analyzing to the bones of this possible purchase (We wound up not getting it as Alan detected way too many problems) but he was able to take the time to properly explain all his findings in the simplest ways so we could understand (plenty of these professionals love to use professional jargon and tend to confuse you even more) and spend over a hour and half with us going not only his findings but his overall impressions and thoughts on the property. Alan submitted an excellent report, extremely detailed. He was very easy to work with scheduling wise, and very knowledgeable about home inspections in person and in the report. He was very clear on what he was inspecting and not inspecting and what the value of the report would provide. The report was filled with pictures of every fault, and every piece of equipment in the home, including model number and date of build. This allowed me to look up each item and see the reports of quality and maintenance required. He answered all my questions after the report and intimated he is open to any questions in the future. All in all I wish every contractor/builder etc. was as open and easy to deal with as this. also paying with paypal was a nice bonus as we had a rapid reschedule and I was at work but able to move the inspection forward. I highly recommend this inspector and this company.

Alan is very professional in every way imaginable. he picks out everything that is a safety hazard and that need TLC for future reference so it doesn't turn into a headache later down the road. when it came to the inspection it was worth the time an effort to really learn about the home buy.
