Neil has three qualities you want your home inspector to possess: he's very knowledgeable, very thorough, and very helpful. I used a watch Mike Holmes show on Netflix and always wished I could hire him or someone who knows as much as him. I did some research and it turns out that we have one better in our own backyard. His name is Neil. We liked one house a lot and after reading all the DETAILED REPORT WITH EXCELLENT PICTURES from the inspection, we decided not to buy the house because of lot of inherent issues that were pointed out in the report. We would have missed all the issues pointed out if it was not was Neil and we would have regretted it down the road. We are still looking for that "perfect" house and once we find it, I will re-hire Neil to do the inspection. His reports are very detailed with lots of pictures, explains everything in layman's terms. He answers all the questions, even if it does not related to the inspection of the inspected home. He is extremely knowledgeable and very reasonable priced. So in nutshell, you cannot go wrong with Neil.

Neil is a wonderful and extremely thorough house inspector. He pays attention to everything and if we had any questions during the inspection, he was there to answer it. I would rate Neil an 11 (oh wait, the max score is 10?). Where do I begin? Utmost professional and a true subject matter expert that CARES! Earlier than appointed time. Very efficient in sequencing inspection steps and full of knowledge. Pointed out problems and as well pointed out stuff I should not worry about and EXPLAINED in detailed fashion both types WHY. Employs hi-tech tools that allows us to examine from a safe situation a lot of stuff that otherwise hard to get to and may be hidden. Neil's level of knowledge is impressive. He was able to answer every question, and if it was a question outside the scope of home inspection he would call someone to get the answer immediately. Even 3 or 4 months after the inspection, he gladly and promptly replied to my inquiries. Neil also used state of the art equipment from digital photos, to computerized testing in my case. It's great to have a detailed report with photos so you can see exactly what is going on. Also the report isn't just a list of facts, he writes recommendations and explains things in an easy to understand context so that you really understand what is going on with the home you are about to purchase. Lastly he is a gentleman. At one point the realtor was late to show up to let us in the house and he patiently waited with me outside for a little over an hour. If you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable professional, Neil is your guy.
