Northern Home Inspections

I had multiple inspections by John and they were all well worth it. Literally inspected every part of the properties and performed different types of tests to check the operations/performance of appliances, thermal imaging for proper insualtion of walls/ceilings, temperature readings of all sinks/bathtubs water supply, checking outlets for proper connection/grounding and wirings, little tips and tricks for outdoor areas! Overall 10/10, would and will definetly use/recommend his services again.

I've used John for two home purchases and I can't recommend him enough. John is an extremely thorough and knowledgeable inspector. On both purchases his inspection report helped me negotiate a credit or price reduction. On my most recent inspection of a single family home, John spent at least 4 hours inspecting the place top to bottom and provided such a detailed inspection report that we were able to negotiate another $30k off a negotiated price that was already over 5% below asking price. To anyone considering purchasing a property, I HIGHLY recommend using Mr. John Olson as your home inspector! I have bought & sold 4 different properties in the last decade & never have I had a home inspector as detailed & thorough as John was with me on my latest investment prospect. John took his time, photographed every issue, no matter its significance & was able to communicate with me the technical aspects of building mechanics that were beyond my pedigree. When his analyzed written report was securely sent to me via email, the report was so lengthy & detailed that there was a table of contents. The photographs were clearly taken & highlighted exactly what the problems/issues were. Then beneath the image was either a solution or a plan of attack; as to whom to consult on resolving the specific defect. John Olson's education & keen, intrinsic insight gave me the wherewithal to make a comprehensive decision; which more likely than not saved me from making a quarter of a million dollar mistake. Best check I've cut in years.

John Olson is an awesome person. This is our first home and we don't know what to expect from an inspector. John Olson was thorough, skilled and highly informative. The final report contained a complete summary of deficient items discovered and a concise l action plan to rectify them. Pricing estimates for remedial action did not appear on the written report; however the inspector interjected repair costs (and inexpensive yet effective solutions) while providing recommendations throughout the inspection. Photographic documentation of notable items was clear and unambiguous. Although photos showed detail well enough, I found that a left click of the mouse over a photo enlarged it to a full page resolution. This was helpful for viewing details of more complex items such as the electrical service panel and furnace interiors. Excellent work!
