The smoke alarm shall be listed and marked on the device as being suitable for installation in recreational vehicles under the requirements of ANSI/UL 217. 6.3.1.4 Installation of Smoke Alarm. The required smoke alarm shall be installed in accordance with its listing but not within the separate sleeping areas. This is a LIFE SAFETY ISSUE. It is recommended that this be repaired by a qualified RV technician before occupancy. |
