4. Roof Exterior
4.19 Ladder & Mounts - Condition  
Poor
The ladder is not stable and roof mounts are loose. This is a Life Safety issue as the ladder is unsafe to use when trying to access roof.
17. Electrical System - 120VAC & 12VDC
17.25 Generator - Operation  
Fair
(2) The generator exhaust does not extend past the sidewall.

NFPA 6.4.3.1 The terminus of combustion exhausts shall extend beyond the periphery of the vehicle and discharge exhaust gases away from the vehicle. Diesel exhaust systems complying with EPA emissions regulations effective January 1, 2007, shall be permitted to have the terminus no more than 12 in. (305 mm) inside the periphery of the vehicle and shall discharge exhaust gases away from the vehicle.

19. Life Safety Items
19.1 LP Detector  
Poor
(2) The LP / CO detector failed to go into alarm by pushing the button and spraying butane.

This is a LIFE SAFETY issue. It is recommended that it be replaced by a qualified RV technician before the RV is occupied.

19.2 Smoke Detector  
Poor
(1) Smoke Detector Data Plate. The Smoke Detector is not listed as suitable for RVs.

According to the NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) 1192 Standards For Recreational Vehicles Handbook the following sections apply:

6.3.1.3 Smoke Alarm Listing Requirement. The smoke alarm shall be listed and marked on the device as being suitable for installation in recreational vehicles under the requirements of ANSI/UL 217.

6.3.1.4 Installation of Smoke Alarm. The required smoke alarm shall be installed in accordance with its listing but not within the separate sleeping areas.

This is a LIFE SAFETY ISSUE.  It is recommended that this be repaired by a qualified RV technician before occupancy.

This could cause water intrusion.

(1) There appears to be a hairline crack in the windshield, driver side.
(2) There is a star chip in the windshield on the driver's side.

10.5.A Slideout - Floor

(2) There is significant wear on the bottom of the curbside slideout floor at the rear where the slideout has been dragging on the slideout opening. This is also evident when slideout is closed as the slideout is uneven from front to back. Recommend that this be repaired by qualified RV technician.

There are scratches and wear in the rear wall of the front curbside slideout.

(2) The streetside sidewall window by the driver's seat is broken.

(1) It is recommended that the roof be cleaned every 3 months.  While cleaning the roof, it should also be examined for damage and lap sealant that needs to be repaired or replaced to prevent water intrusion.

(1) Vent covers help protect the vent lid from UV rays and other damage.

They also allow the use of the vents during rain or snowy weather.

A pressure regulator is recommended for all city water connections.

If not installed, this can cause possible bursting of fresh water lines which may cause significant damage to the unit.

NOTE: Hot Skin is when stray or leak voltage from the 120 voltage AC system is somehow redirected from its normally safe path to some metal component(s) of your RV.

NOTE: Most hot skin issues may not be a direct short of power to ground but rather a high resistive short. In many cases, they may not trip the circuit breakers or blow fuses. However, the frame, chassis, copper tubing and metal trim pieces on the coach can conduct voltage.

NOTE: Any reading below 5 volts is considered safe. Conversely, any reading above 5 volts can be dangerous.
