TOP MARKS! He spent about 3.5 hrs very thoroughly inspecting and reviewing, then personally showing me a few unusual problems so that I might understand what would later be in the report. I had read someone else's comments that this was the best $375 they had ever spent and I feel similarly. It was definitely a product worth it's price AND in the end saved me from buying a home with some serious "defects" as described by the Purchase Agreement contract. I can't say enough good things about Joe and Larry. Our recent home buying experience involved two different properties. Their ability to fit our inspections into their schedule was great, allowing for us to make decisions within a reasonable time frame. Joe's thoroughness in going through every outlet, window, wire, and wall was impressive. If there's a crawlspace, he will crawl it... if there's a roof, he will walk it (if safe). If you are buying a house I highly recommend this very knowledgeable professional. This report was much more in depth and detailed than I expected. This is the second time I've engaged PRO-TEC to inspect a house which I was considering to buy. The first time, Larry's thorough inspection saved me from buying a home with many major problems. Larry did a detailed report with specifics on the good, the bad, and the ugly. (no just kidding) Everything was done in a structured format which included pictures and points of interest.As a Investigator of many years in a totally different field I was taken aback by the fact that everytime I called long distance from San Diego Larry answered my calls and was very straight forward with his answers.
When I first called Larry I asked him a simple question. If I put him up against another Inspector who would he not want to go up against? He answer was quick and clear. He said "nobody, because their is no one around here as good as me".
