I have hired inspectors in the past, but have now found my go-to team with Common Cents, and have done multiple projects with them now. I won't call anybody else. Terry is the most thorough with his report, resourceful with the trades, and brutally honest with his discoveries. If you want a sugar-coated report, call someone else. If you seek the truth, then Terry will give it to you quickly and comprehensively. Terry and his team know construction means and methods, he knows specs and is highly knowledgeable about appliances, mechanical systems, and sewer systems. If you want to know all the problems with a house you are about to purchase, he will uncover them. He talked me out of one purchase, thank goodness. It was a mess under the hood. And on our most recent inspection, he gave me a shopping list a mile long which I used to reduce my asking price. That's great, but the bottom line is that I have a full grasp of what im getting into with my new house, and that is invaluable.
