Without HG Services: Email your report as a big bulky PDF attachment. You can only hope they received it and have no control of who gets it, or who they sent it to. Even with notification and acceptance of a PDF you may have a difficult time proving report delivery of that actual report. Do your own backups and storage.

Upload reports
When you complete a report, you can upload it to the HomeGauge website and email a password protected link to your client and agent, using our automated email delivery system. The home inspection report delivery and retrieval are time-stamped, so you can be sure that the report was viewed and you can document on-time delivery. Your uploaded reports are stored in your password protected vault for up to 5 years.* This is your off-site secondary backup of all your reports that can be accessed by you in seconds from any computer, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. (You can use HomeGauge Inspection Software to upload your finished reports, or upload reports in PDF format.) See what makes our inspection report upload service better. The Internet delivery system makes a great marketing tool because every report you send to that agent gets stored in their password protected vault as well! Report delivery validation

Online agreements / electronic signatures
You can require your customer to "Click to Agree" to your inspection contract before allowing them to see the online report. Most licensed states require the contract to be signed before you perform the inspection. Now you can give the buyer or customer easy access to agree to your contract before you arrive at the inspection address. If you thought you were going to get a signature, but didn’t, you can now prevent viewing of the report before they agree to your contract. If they don’t agree, they don’t see the report. It’s that simple!

Radon testing integration and special delivery
Purchase radon kits from HomeGauge and deliver the uploaded results automatically to the client with the inspection report. Integrated with American Home Warranty
If you provide limited warranties with your inspections through American Home Warranty to help market your business, you can easily assign pre-purchased warranties after you upload your report with just a couple of clicks. Other inspectors that use AHW have to separately send the info to AHW through a fax or by signing in to the AHW website. With HomeGauge, the information from the report is sent to AHW and the warranty is automatically filled in from the report information.

Accept credit cards online
We have created a service to accept credit card payments online. Use our Force Payment feature to block viewing of any uploaded report until payment has been made. If a customer has not made the payment, they will be able to pay online and view the report right away — even at 3 in the morning! Virtually eliminate collections by forcing payment before they can view the report.

*Note: If you upload your report using the PDF format, only the PDF file will be uploaded. This means that you will not be able to download that report in the future in a form that can be opened and edited directly in HomeGauge Software (uploading in the standard html format is required for that purpose). However, your PDF report will be backed up for 5 years and will be easily accessible at any time. Only the html format documents that include the main report will be downloadable to be opened and edited in the HomeGauge Software.

While logged in at HomeGauge.com, click on "Dashboard -> My Website". This logs you into your website. Look for the "Email Manager" link on the left under "Site Management". From there you can add email addresses. After you setup an address, you can login on the website to view your email by clicking on the "Check Your Email" link or you can find information about setting up an email program like Outlook by clicking on the "Platinum Help" link.
