Hidden Truth, Jennifer Gabbard, is absolutely amazing. If all people in fields of service were as good as Jennifer, the world would be a much better place. My husband and I entered into a nightmare with a contractor and had never dealt with anything as detrimental or frightening like it ever before. Jenny did a great job. She was thorough, knowledgeable, and informative. She prepared a very detailed report noting all major concerns as well as letting us know about minor repairs. She included general maintenance suggestions for items we would need to do soon and for the future care of the home. She even went to the extent of taking pictures of the model and serial numbers of appliances, water heater, and furnace simply for our future reference. Jenny included a ton of pictures and a couple videos in the report to show all the items she was describing. When we arrived for the walk through summary, she explained everything in detail, by showing us all the areas with major issues as well as talking us through all the details in her report. She never acted like she was in a rush and was extremely patient with all our questions. Jenny even took the extra time to explain some basic care, maintenance, and tips for the in ground pool! I was very happy with her service and would highly recommend her!

To begin with Jennifer Gabbard is very personable and approachable. She came highly recommended and she was true to form. She performed the home inspection in a professional manner equipped with her notebook/clipboard and camera. She definitely was very thorough in her inspection of the house. As a professional she was able to uncover many flaws and defects that would cost us thousands of dollars. It goes to show how much my husband and I (with our amateur eyes) really missed on our home inspection. Upon the completion of her inspection, we did get a verbal summary. This included several major flaws that needed repair before we could continue with our closing sale process. By the next day, we received a detailed 43 page report highlighting the flaws/ damage. We could definitely negotiate on the basis of that report. Jennifer Gabbard is indeed a master professional in her field.

Jennifer was referred to me by a lifelong friend, that had used her on THREE home inspections that literally saved her THOUSANDS of dollars. She uncovered things the prospective sellers had hidden from potential buyers, that were either safety issues or uninsurable issues. So when it came time for me to make a purchase she was the first person I called because SHE LEAVES NO STONE UNTURNED! Yes, the inspection is lengthy and detailed, however THAT is what you want when you are planning on putting your life's hard work of savings into a property, hoping to make it your new home. No one wants any surprises or things that are going to cost thousands of even hundreds of dollars unexpectedly to repair upfront, right after the expense of a move from one location to another, or I didn't. She breaks down the entire survey much like you would if you were assessing a patient for a diagnosis from head to toe. She looks at each system ( or each part of your new property), HVAC, Structure, Windows, Roof, functionality of all things, faucets, toilets, stove, refrigerator, AC, Furnace, water pressure, if the lines are the proper distances from one another, if there should be conduit around wires or if there is a pipe missing that should be there. What does the filters look like? When were the units last serviced and what did the reports say? What does the foundation look like, the crawl space, the INSIDE of the fireplace.. any cracks , problems with the chimney? When was it last cleaned or is it in need of cleaning? Do all the doors work and close properly? Drains work? Windows go up then close back properly? How about condensation between the windows? Is the railing on the stairway the right width and is it secure? Any signs of water damage or cracks anywhere? Doorways that are suppose to be safety doors, to keep you safe in case of fire, are those in place? She tests the temperature on the oven, does it heat to 400 degrees when set to 400? Does the dishwasher work properly and drain correctly without back flow? NOW YOU TELL ME?? WHY WOULD YOU NOT hire, Jennifer, someone that takes a magnifying glass and goes over your potential new home with a fine tooth comb to ensure you are paying good money and getting what you are paying for upfront? NO HIDDEN ISSUES. Of course, there may be a few things the owners may want to negotiate and she will guide you through the entire process of what would be negotiable and what is truly a SAFETY issue and NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED to bring things up to code and to assure you are buying a safe, sound property. Jennifer continues to make herself available to all her clients, during the entire process, from inspection to completion of purchase for any and all questions that may arise, which I found extremely helpful. We had a few hiccups that needed clarification and her expertise and plethora of information made the entire process of getting through those seem seamless! Thank you again Jennifer Gabbard!
