In my state the agent has to use a specific form for their Addendum...
That is correct — for all states there are different forms and we are not replacing them. On every form there is usually limited space for a list, so most agents type "See Attached list". Our feature creates the insert for them to include with their Addendum.
Will my report work as well as the one in the video?
If you include a Summary and are true to it, meaning including only those items that need repair, etc., then yes. They can select the summary and see only those items on the list. If you don't include a summary and scatter a lot of filler throughout the report, then the filler and pictures will be seen in the feature. This can become confusing to them if a lot of "good comments" are popping up, asking them to Accept As Is. You try viewing your report as a buyer or agent and determine whether or not you need to add a Summary or separate your positive comments from your repairs. Test it out: Open a report in your HG Software, change the name to yours, add your email as the customer and create a username for you as a buyer. Now, upload the report and send out the email notification to yourself as the buyer. Sign in and see your report the same way your buyer or agent would. Try the Create Repair/Request feature. If your report appears confusing, consider the above comments on only putting summary items into the Summary. You can also call us for help on how to make your report work better. For most inspectors this feature works great with a true Summary.
Will this feature work with a PDF?
No, there's nothing fancy going on with a PDF. Our preferred report output is html — like a web page. This gives your report an interactive presentation. We call it a Web Presentation or an Interactive Report. Things like video in your report, expanding pictures to high resolution when your agent clicks on them, and a floating Contents tab that takes them to specific places in your report. And now we include the Create Repair Request feature too! The customer and agent can view the report and still go straight to the summary or save it as a pdf for storage if they need to. See our sample reports for these features. Also, see advantages of html over a PDF.
