Does this replace home insurance?
Home or property insurance usually does not cover normal wear and tear on the items in your home. HomeGauge Protect can offer some financial relief in these cases, assuming that the claim is submitted during the window of the term.
HomeGauge Protect provides additional coverage as a benefit of working with your home inspector. During the length of its term, it will provide reimbursement for repairs made on covered items, up to a maximum of $2,500.

Does this replace an annual home warranty?
Home warranties often require that you use one of “their guys” to repair or replace the item while HomeGauge Protect does not.
Home warranties will often have a claim blackout period for the first 30-90 days; HomeGauge Protect does not.
However, home warranties typically have a 12 – 18 month coverage term. HomeGauge Protect has a much shorter window of 100 days, based on when the property was inspected.
How many claims am I allowed to make?
How much does my policy pay out?
Each claim has a maximum payout corresponding to the type of item that requires repair. This can range from $500 to $2,500 per claim.
