Inspectors TOGETHER 2022 was held on Thursday, October 6th and Friday, October 7th and was an expanded installment of the annual virtual conference thrown for the inspection industry and powered by HomeGauge. The event is built for all Home Inspectors, as well as others in the industry, to come TOGETHER for learning, networking, and growth. A record-setting attendance joined HomeGauge, special guest speakers, and big industry players for two full days of valuable sessions.
Day One of Inspectors TOGETHER was kicked off by Dave Theus of Switch presenting a new feature coming to the market that can change the way Inspectors can offer value and save time to their clients. Reuben Saltzman of Structure Tech took the time to dive deep into how Inspectors can identify exterior water problems effectively and efficiently. The afternoon was comprised of Paul J Magrone (Home Inspectors by PJM Inc.) & Sarah Dennis (HomeGauge) discussing the impact of how your communication can be a key component to growing your business, Mark Hummel (IEB Coaching) explaining how Inspectors can continue to win in a down market, and Joe Ferry (The Home Inspector Lawyer) presenting the different methods you, as a Home Inspector, can take to reduce your risk factor.
The first day of presentations was finished with a one-of-a-kind roundtable discussion featuring Lisa Alajajian Giroux, Incoming 2023 ASHI President; Nick Gromicko, Founder of InterNACHI; Kathleen A. Kuhn, CFE, President, MooveGuru; & Paul McIntyre, President of HomeGauge. Their discussion was fueled by their thoughts on the future of the home inspection industry and included answering many questions from the event attendees.
After highlighting the Inspectors who have been in business with HomeGauge for 20 years, Day Two of Inspectors TOGETHER started with the option of two different tracks; Track 1 was geared more towards the new Inspector and Track 2 was built more in-depth for the advanced Inspector. Track 1 was kicked off by VP of Product, Mike Rogers, who showed how to write efficient reports and edit templates quickly in Web Writer. Senior Sales & Support Specialist, Becca Ward, and Product Architect, Jon Montgomery, teamed up to demonstrate how to set up services, agreements, the online scheduler, and online payments. Suzie Wallace, Customer Onboarding & Adoption Consultant, finished off Track 1 by diving into the basics of how to take advantage of the Inspector Dashboard.
Track 2 on Day Two of the event also featured Suzie Wallace while she went over how to write reports efficiently and use templates in the Desktop Writer software. Mike Rogers was then given the spotlight to show how both the Web Writer and Desktop Writer software can be used cohesively together. Ethan Marvin, Senior Sales & Support Specialist, rounded out the end of Track 2 with an advanced session about the Inspector Dashboard, focusing mostly on how to customize your agreements and notification emails.
The day came to a close with a couple more sessions for the entire group; David Fiandaca, Director of Product Development- Home Buyer Value, talked about the Homebuyer Dashboard experience and the benefits of digital report uploading, and Carla Heatherly, Director of Web Development, teamed up with Dan Conerd, Senior Web Developer, to go over how to level up your web presence as an Home Inspector. Lastly, Mike Rogers joined Paul McIntyre, President, to share what’s new with HomeGauge and what’s coming up next in the organization’s plans.
The session recordings are available on the official Inspectors TOGETHER webpage, and everyone from single Inspectors to Multi-Inspector firms, owners, and others can benefit from the tools and knowledge that was shared during the event.
