You may have heard in the mainstream media about this recently announced technological vulnerability and wondered if your HomeGauge software or subscription could be affected. Log4j is a utility for logging in java (Log4j = Logger for Java). Some versions of this utility could be compromised and allow arbitrary code to be executed.

Every technology company in the world had the potential to be affected, and so you may have also received notes like this from Google, Amazon, Facebook, or others.

Like all those companies, we have been watching this vulnerability closely and have been investigating any potential impact on our services. Our systems do not use the version of Log4j that was affected. We will continue to keep an eye on this vulnerability with a focus on protecting our users and customers.
