A note on the worldwide Apache Log4j vulnerability

Computer Security

You may have heard about this recently announced technological vulnerability in the mainstream media and wondered if your HomeGauge software or subscription could be affected. Log4j is a utility for logging in Java (Log4j = Logger for Java). Some versions of this utility could be compromised, allowing arbitrary code to be executed.

Every technology company in the world has the potential to be affected, and so you may have also received notes like this from Google, Amazon, Facebook, or others.

Like all those companies, we have been watching this vulnerability closely and investigating any potential impact on our services. Our systems do not use the version of Log4j that was affected. We will keep an eye on this vulnerability, focusing on protecting our users and customers.
